how hard would it be to scratch build a chassis for a touring car by using parts already available

Hmmmm, Well Realistically its possible but you have to know a bit about about engineering etc tbh to get one that would be suitable with all parts correctly together, i wouldn't recommend it as the Chassis out there at the moment are perfect enough. I have seen prototypes at events before but these have all been scratch built by people who have the correct cutting tools for carbon fibre etc. What are you thinking of, combining a mission with something? Plus the price it would cost to do it you may as well save up and get a new or second hand tourer. The best proto built from cobbled parts i have seen is a TC4/pro4, Xray and Hotbodies parts go nice together also in certain areas
