i have taken over phils role o the commitee (although i have no idea what that actually was)
i have been set the task of arranging the 09 championship
i would like to get some input from members both off and on road mainly regarding weights
as most tc drivers now run lipo it is hard to get the limit to 1500g so do we reduce this to 1400 for stock or still go with the 1500g limit? and do you want seperate classes for brushed/brushless?

this is one idea i have come up with mainly for tc
lipo 1400g 6 cell 1500g 4/5 cell mod 1350g or will that be too hard to sort at the end?

the championship should flow brca rules if you run lipo then you need to weight it up as most tc driver do other wise the car dose not work right
as for off roaders there's two weight limits 2wd & 4wd and will try and find out the weight limits for them and will keep you infromed
and phils job was to SHOUT any thing and evey thing

have found them 23.3 The dimensions must conform to the following:- Maximum length - 460mm inc. bumpers Maximum width - 250mm at any point of suspension travel in a vertical plane. Minimum weight - 1474grams for 2WD, 1588grams for 4WD complete and ready to race. The minimum weight(s) include fixed Personal Transponder but exclude Auto-powered (hand-out) Transponder. 23.4 To be eligible to compete in the 4WD class, 2WD cars must race at 1588 grams minimum weight.

I would keep the weight limit to 1500grams for lipo and 6 cell otherwise lipo powered cars will have an advantage in power - weight ratio and corner speed. plus in order to balance most chassis 50 -50 you have to bring the weight up to 1500 anyway.
I would keep brushed and brushless combined aswell just to make it easier.

think its better if we just stick to one class but forget the weight rule as it means the 2wd class have to run heavy which isnt a good idea
